Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator is a tool developed by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers for variety of purposes, including self-understanding, career development and team building. It is based on Jung's theory of psychological types and is the most widely used and well-respected instrument for exploring human behaviour patterns and preferences. The MBTI assessment examines an individual's self-reported preferences on four basic scales (extraversion/introversion, sensing/intuition, thinking/feeling and judging/perceiving) and reports on how these preferences combine to form one of sixteen distinct psychological types.
Paula Beltgens and David Scott are qualified MBTI practioners and offer several different workshops. Each workshop includes an online MBTI Step II assessment and utilizes engaging activities for verifying type and exploring context-specific topics. Participants will receive an 17 page customized report of their type preferences along with a series of handouts relevant to the workshop context.
MBTI and Team Development This workshop engages participants in individual reflection and innovative group exercises to build understanding of individual type preferences, team dynamics and group functioning. Activities include exploration and strategizing around team strengths and potential challenges. This workshop can be customized to meet specific team needs.
MBTI and Adult Learning In this workshop, participants explore type preference and learning styles, adult learning characteristics and learning strategies. This workshop utilizes both reflective and group activities and can be customized for either instructors or learners.
MBTI and Relationships This workshop explores how our individual preferences influence and impact our personal and professional relationships. Workshop activities are geared towards enhancing self-awareness and developing strategies for effective communications, dealing with conflict, stress, decision-making and problem solving. This workshop is offered for couples, families and community groups and can be customized for organizational settings.
