Paula has been a consultant, adult educator, coach, researcher and facilitator since the late '80s. In Canada and internationally, Paula facilitates courses and workshops on instructional skills, leadership development, team building, strategic planning and participatory action research. She also facilitates Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) sessions for individuals, teams and classes. Paula utilizes a variety of innovative tools and methods in her work, including Appreciative Inquiry and Focused Conversations.

Paula has a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training and a graduate certificate in executive coaching. She is a trained Appreciative Inquiry facilitator, a certified Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) Facilitator and a qualified MBTI practitioner.

Paula works within a variety of contexts including community and government agencies, academic institutions, businesses, Aboriginal organizations, nonprofits and international development institutions. She is deeply committed to several areas of social justice work in a volunteer capacity. In addition to being a private consultant, Paula is an associate faculty member with Royal Roads University in both undergraduate- and graduate-level programs.

Leisure activites for Paula include dance, fabric art, Playback storytelling improv theatre and puttering along the BC coast with David.

David Scott

David's fascination with information management and cartography comes from his 20 years at sea working as a ship's officer.

David provides consulting expertise and production services in Knowledge Management, specializing in Geographic Information Systems. He is interested in making complex information accessible for community processes and decision-making. For the past 20 years David has worked closely with First Nations in British Columbia, Canada, supporting community development through land use planning and sharing knowledge.

David has completed a Master of Arts in Distributed Learning Technologies and Design at Royal Roads University. His thesis explores knowledge management for small distributed organizations, such as First Nations fisheries departments.

When he is not working, David can most often be found working on the 1909 Victorian house that he and Paula share.
